Both types of gen AI have their benefits, says Ken Ringdahl, the companys CTO. Legal indemnification is a common feature of gen AI contracts from OpenAI, Microsoft, Adobe, and other major vendors. To solve the problem, the company turned to gen AI and decided to use both commercial and open source models.
Google announced a similar policy in October, using almost identical wording, and Adobe, which offers the Firefly image generation model, announced its own legal indemnification in June. Firefly is the model that powers the new generative fill feature in Photoshop and other Adobe products, and is also available as a standalone service.
