Because 2FA uses security keys that are specific to each piece of hardware, you can’t simply reinstall Google Authenticator on your new phone and use it to log in. Alternative method #1: Use your backup codes. Alternative method #2: Take a screenshot of the barcode. Instead, you have to transfer the keys to your new app.
