I’m picky about touchpads, but this one is quite roomy, with a smooth Gorilla Glass surface — I’d choose it over plenty of touchpads I’ve used on multi-thousand dollar Windows laptops. So, the “typical” administrator will have strong Windows skills. If I were to still be in the business of administering servers, I’d be a Windows expert and feel comfortable managing Linux appliances within the environment. This is a different skillset than most administrators that run Windows infrastructures.
