One of the provided services is the high availability and performance of the VMware based vCloud platform. “We
Deploying AI workloads at speed and scale, however, requires software and hardware working in tandem across datacenters and edge locations. Submissions were made with VMware running on NVIDIA AI Enterprise software and NVIDIA accelerators as well as Intel-based CPU-only results. 6-8x improvement in performance.
Standout features: Broad suite for infrastructure monitoring across multiple clouds Monitoring of real users and simulated users make it easier to deliver a better user experience Densify Densify builds a collection of tools for managing cloud infrastructure by juggling containers and VMware instances.
This operational model is changing both datacenter operations and application development processes across multiple domains. As the manager of datacenters for some of the most significant companies in the world, IBM has observed this profound shift in the strategic outsourcing marketplace. What’s Driving Innovation?

This is a fascinating (to me, at least) paper on the implications of non-volatile storage on today’s datacenters (and datacenter hardware). Dwayne Sinclair (an NSX SE at VMware) has a write-up on what micro-segmentation is not. Micro-segmentation is one of those terms (like SDN, cloud, DevOps, etc.)
As usual, I’ve gathered what I hope to be a useful but varied collection of articles and links on key datacenter technologies. Granted, it’s a VMware post, so it may gloss over some details, but it’s still a decent look at what’s possible when you take the abstractions and APIs offered by a solution like NSX. Networking.

Networking. Maybe next time?
My job encompasses supporting Linux and VMware on physical servers. I think we have close to 1600 virtual instances at any given time, spread across two datacenters separated by 10 miles. The second one which we started July of last year was our datacenter migration project.
