Trends in the Living Networks

I first came across the law of requisite variety almost 20 years ago. Ross Ashby proposed the idea in his 1956 book An Introduction to Cybernetics (see p.202-218), and expanded on it in his paper Requisite variety and its implications for the control of. complex systems. Why and How to Estimate in Agile?

It's a topic I've confronted at organizations adopting agile and I hear all the barriers, "it's not accurate", "don't hold me accountable to it", "isn't estimating a waterfall process?". Mike's points are dead on. You estimated to help make decisions on what NOT to do. If a feature is broken down to12 stories estimated at 150 points and the team's velocity is.
