Microsoft settles cloud complaint for $22M to avoid EU antitrust probe

Microsoft has reportedly agreed to pay $22 million to settle an antitrust complaint with a group representing cloud computing companies in Europe. A complaint was filed in 2022 by CISPE (Cloud Infrastructure Services Providers Europe) accusing Microsoft of unfair licensing practices that hurt Europe’s cloud computing ecosystem.
